Misconduct
Rosalyn Hodgson’s professional or personal conduct, was found to be in breach of the Code of Professional Ethics and to have posed a risk to the public or was likely to undermine public confidence in the Association or its members; namely:
- For an unknown period up until on or around 27 January 2023 she failed to have in place adequate Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and controls.
- For an unknown period up until on or around 27 January 2023 she failed to carry out an adequate risk assessment and ongoing monitoring in respect of one or more clients.
- For an unknown period up until on or around 27 January 2023 she failed to carry out any or any adequate periodic review of her Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and controls.
- For an unknown period up until on or around 27 January 2023 she failed to have in place any or any adequate continuity of practice agreement.
- For an unknown period up until on or around 27 January 2023, she failed to have in place adequate professional indemnity insurance (PII) coverage, in breach of AAT’s Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy.
- For an unknown period up until on or around 27 January 2023, she provided management accounting services outside the scope of her AAT licence.
Finding
Grounds for disciplinary action existed and the matter was suitable for exercise of the Investigations Team's powers under the Disciplinary Regulations.
Order
Rosalyn Hodgson is hereby:
- Severely reprimanded. The severe reprimand is to remain live on Mrs Hodgson’s record for a period of two years (24 months).
- Fined £4,000.00
Consent
Rosalyn Hodgson has agreed to submit to the decision of the Investigations Team in accordance with Regulation 5.3 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
