Iain Blanksby was found to have committed acts or omissions that fell short of the standards reasonably expected of them, including but not limited to those matters listed in the Code of Professional Ethics and which brought, or were likely to bring, discredit to Iain Blanksby, the accountancy profession or AAT; namely:
1. On 01 February 2024, whilst a member of AAT, Mr Iain Blanksby was upon his own admission convicted of Assault by beating at Derby St Mary Magistrates Court.
Finding
Grounds for disciplinary action existed and the matter was suitable for exercise of the Investigations team's powers under the Disciplinary Regulations.
Order
Iain Blanksby is hereby:
i. Fined £500
ii. Reprimanded for 3 years
Consent
Iain Blanksby is deemed to have agreed to submit to the decision of the Professional Standards in accordance with Regulation 5.3 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
