Misconduct
Dione Chambers’s professional or personal conduct, was found to be in breach of the Code of Professional Ethics and to have posed a risk to the public or was likely to undermine public confidence in the Association or its members; namely:
- For an unknown period up until on or around 30 January 2023 she failed to carry out an adequate risk assessment and ongoing monitoring in respect of one or more clients.
- For an unknown period up until on or around 23 July 2023 she failed to have in place any or any adequate continuity of practice agreement.
- Between 23 January 2020 and on or around 30 January 2023, she failed to have in place adequate professional indemnity insurance (PII) coverage, in breach of AAT’s Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy.
- For an unknown period up until on or around 30 January 2023, she provided limited assurance engagement services without being licensed by AAT to do so.
Finding
Grounds for disciplinary action existed and the matter was suitable for exercise of the Investigations Team's powers under the Disciplinary Regulations.
Order
Dione Chambers is hereby:
- Fined £2,500.00
- Severely reprimanded for a period of two years (24 months).
Consent
Dione Chambers has agreed to submit to the decision of the Investigations Team in accordance with Regulation 5.3 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
