Misconduct
Abayomi Adegbuyi-Jackson’s conduct was found to be in breach of the Code of Professional Ethics and to have posed a risk to the public and/or undermine public confidence in the Association and its members as follows:
- On 27 July 2021, upon his own confession, he was convicted of fraud by abuse of position
- He acted contrary to AAT’s Criminal Conviction Policy in that he failed to notify AAT of his offence within 30-days of the date of his conviction.
Finding
Grounds for disciplinary action existed and the matter was suitable for exercise of the Investigations Team's powers under the Disciplinary Regulations.
Order
Abayomi Adegbuyi-Jackson is hereby:
- Expelled from membership of AAT until such time that his conviction becomes spent
- Warned about his future conduct.
Consent
Abayomi Adegbuyi-Jackson actively consented to the decision of the Investigations Team in accordance with paragraph 6 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
