Once you’ve completed a relevant AAT qualification and become an AAT professional member, you can apply for an AAT licence. You’ll be able to offer a range of accounting and bookkeeping services to clients, with support and guidance from AAT each step of the way.

Progress to chartered studies

If you're looking to become a chartered accountant, AAT qualifications are the perfect first step. They offer you a fast track, helping you get there quicker than going to university.

With AAT you can gain exemptions from all the UK chartered and certified bodies: ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA and CIPFA. Plus, the practical skills and knowledge you gain while studying AAT qualifications will complement the chartered syllabus, helping you to succeed.
