We are currently looking for a SEMI-SENIOR ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT to work in a small friendly office on the purley way, Croydon. It is ESSENTIAL that you have the ability to produce a set of accounts and have a full working knowledge of QUICKBOOKS, SAGE, BTC and VT. 
Duties will include: 
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and charities. 
- Assisting clients with cash flow and budgeting. 
- Completing / reviewing VAT returns. 
- Preparing tax returns. 
- Completing monthly and Quarterly Bookkeeping. 
As this is stand-alone - it is essential that you have solid experience, gained from a similar role. 
Skills: 
- Strong knowledge of financial services and accounting principles 
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc. 
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail 
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports 
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines 
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders 
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information 
To be considered for this opportunity, you must: 
- Be at least AAT qualified or similar. 
- Have a minimum of 4 years experience at a UK practice accountancy firm 
- Have extensive experience of preparing year end accounts under FRS 102 
- Competence with Microsoft packages, including Word and Outlook, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel. 
- Have extensive knowledge and use of QuickBooks online, Xero and other online Bookkeeping packages. 
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems, including Xero and/or QBO. 
- Excellent communication skills. 
Office hours are 9am to 5pm. 
This job could suit somebody returning to work. 
Salary in the region of £14k to £20k dependant on experience and qualifications.

Pay: £14,000.00-£20,000.00 per year 
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
