We are seeking an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing various tasks such as processing invoices, payments, bank reconciliation and Sales & Purchase Ledger duties etc. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Tasks/Accountabilities:
- Processing payments and transfers
- Daily cash receipt and payment reconciliations
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Maintaining cashbooks for a various of bank accounts
- Maintaining of employee attendance records
- Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger duties
- Inter-company loan account reconciliations
- Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts and information.
- You will also be required to be flexible and carry out other ad hoc tasks and duties as and when required.
The Candidate must be:
- Strong IT skills – Excel, Outlook, World and knowledge of Sage would be beneficial.
- Self –motivated and proactive.
- Team Player with good communication skills
- keen to take ownership and responsibility within the department.
- Confident and have a positive attitude towards work.
- Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information.
- Well organised, able to work on own initiative and work well under pressure.
Salary: £15,000 to £24,000 gross per annum depends on experience
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5:30 pm and Friday 9am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch (1pm-2pm)
