AAT's Council consists of 20 members, made up of four ex officio members (the President, the Vice President and two Past Presidents), 10 elected members and six independent members.

As a charity and company limited by guarantee AAT's Council members are both trustees and Directors of the Association with defined responsibilities.

If you're interested in becoming an independent member of Council or one of the supporting boards complete and submit the application form below.

As an organisation AAT recognises and benefits from a diverse workforce and is keen to ensure diversity throughout the governance structure. While all applications are welcome we would be particularly interested to hear from candidates with specific relevant trustee/board experience, and skill sets in any of the following areas: digital landscape (in accountancy), education sector and skills development, regulation and compliance, marketing and PR.

Complete the application form and email a copy to the Company Secretary Karen Marshall with any supporting documents.There are currently no vacancies but applications will be considered periodically.
