Black Friday: Five goods that you can’t buy for the cost of a Bookkeeping qualification
23 November 2018

To coincide with this year’s Black Friday, AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) has compiled a list of popular items that cannot apparently be purchased as new for less than gaining a qualification in bookkeeping.
Depending on training provider fees, an AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping can be achieved for as little as £200, and can provide entrants with a solid background in single-entry bookkeeping during a course lasting 6-12 weeks.
Such a qualification could lead people into a new career in bookkeeping, or help them keep records for small organisations such as schools. Nearly 2,500 have already registered as a student on the AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping since it was introduced in January 2018 (figures as of 31 October 2018).
Here’s five items that, to the best of our shopping knowledge, cannot be bought new (as a sole purchase rather than as part of a wider package) for less than the £200 that it could cost you to gain this bookkeeping qualification – be it Black Friday or not:
Playstation 4 (often sold as a bundle)
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
Samsung 32’’ Smart LED TV (32E390S)
Return flight London to New York City
Apple iPhone X (64GB)
More on AAT’s bookkeeping courses can be found on the AAT website. **
