AAT has today announced its call for entries for the AAT Professional Member Awards 2019.

The awards, now in their third year, reward and recognise both personal and group achievements. Categories include:

Licensed Member of the Year – Recognises an AAT licensed member who has demonstrated outstanding achievements and success from 1 April 2018 to date. They will have utilised their AAT membership to drive the success of their accounting practice.

Professional Member of the Year (one separate award each for qualified bookkeepers, members and full members) – This recognises AAT members who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and success in their role. They will have shown an outstanding commitment to their personal development and have used their AAT membership to boost their career success.

Rising Star of the Year – This recognises emerging talent within AAT professional membership, celebrating individuals who have shown outstanding commitment and enthusiasm in their work and developed rapidly in their field within a short period of time. They are likely to currently be working at a junior level, with the potential to develop into future leaders within the industry.

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 13 June as part of AAT Annual Conference 2019, to be held at the Crowne Plaza in Stratford Upon Avon.

Angela Demoore, 2018 AAT Champion of the Year, said:

I was shocked to be nominated, let alone win the award. I hadn’t even told anybody I had entered!

Kim Hughes, 2018 Licensed Member of the Year, said:

The award was recognition of hard work in terms of study and thinking outside the box. It just goes to show what a mum of two can achieve!

AAT President Vernon Anderson said:

We know we have thousands of members who are excelling in their careers and working to help people and businesses all over the UK and I’m looking forward to hearing their stories. I urge everyone who’s eligible for any of the award categories to make sure to enter and join us at the ceremony in June.
