2019 AAT Training Provider Awards: why students, providers and tutors should enter
31 January 2019
AAT is announcing that entries to the AAT Training Provider Awards, can now be submitted. The awards, an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of training providers and students from over the past year, will be held as part of the 2019 AAT Training Provider Conference, to be held on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 May at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The conference is a key date for anyone involved in the delivery of AAT qualifications, bringing together everyone from tutors to assessors, programme heads and course coordinators, for two days of keynote speeches, technical workshops, and in-depth seminars. Entries for the awards ceremony, to be held on the Thursday evening at a Gala Dinner, are now open in 12 categories including AAT Tutor of the Year, Student of the Year, and Apprentice of the Year.
Award success has been great for me – here’s why you should enter
Winning an award can be a springboard to further success in your career, as shown by the winners of last year’s awards:
Tamara Salter, AAT Student of the Year 2018 said:
I was very proud to win Student Of The Year in 2018. Whilst I am still working for the same employer in the same team, my role has changed dramatically over the past six months in particular. The company I work for acquired one of its rivals and as a result our team took on a much bigger workload including the bespoke billing and reconciliation for a number of high end, high profile customers.
This meant the need for someone with an accounting background with a high attention to detail. Because of my AAT qualification and the kudos of my award, my name was put forward to take on this responsibility, which I have now been doing with great feedback since mid-2018. I don’t think that I would have been considered for this new role without my AAT qualification and award. My employers are certainly proud of my achievements.
Sylvia Segone, Tutor of the Year 2018 said:
The award is doing wonders for me. First of all I was humbled by just being nominated, knowing that my name was publicised to all AAT training providers and other companies working with AAT all over the globe.
Now winning the award; to be the first African woman to receive the AAT Tutor of the Year Award is really a tremendous honour. The award helped me in winning the respect and recognition from my work place, students, family, relatives and fellow countrymen; I am the talk of town!I cannot stop thanking my students and AAT for noticing my efforts and rewarding me with such an award. I want my colleagues all over the world to know that the award is for us all, not only those in the UK, it is possible for them to win too.
The deadline to send in your award entry is 12pm on Friday 1 March 2019. No fees apply, and entry is open to training providers based both in the UK and internationally.
Booking to attend the conference itself is now also open, with twin packages for the two day conference available for £340.
